Rembert De Prez (BE)

In the NOUA Project Room, NOUA presents Norwegian and international artists who work with photography, photobooks and lens-based art. The public gains insight into the artist's themes, research and work process through sketchbooks, test prints, theory and technical tests.

 

In connection with the exhibition in the project room (17. August - 1. October), an artist talk will be held with a presentation of Rembert De Prez's artistship. 

 

Welcome drinks will be served in the project room. Opportunities to buy drinks with and without alcohol during the entire event.

Rembert De Prez (b. 1990) is a Belgian artist photographer, who lives and works in Ghent. Rembert De Prez is the fourth artist to be presented in the Project room in 2023. Since 2021, through his project Experimental Garden – A Conversation On Permafrost, De Prez has conducted investigations through visual art, around the topic of permafrost in Arctic regions. In this research-based project, the artist examines how we can visualize an invisible but threatening phenomenon such as thawing permafrost.
