Project Room Young - Meet the Artist

In the NOUA Project Room, NOUA will in 2023 present Norwegian and international artists working with photography, photo books and lens-based art. In collaboration with Ung2024, we invite audiences aged 13-25 for exclusive but informal meetings with professional artists. With a possibility to ask questions and learn about the path to becoming a professional artist, and how an artist is working. 

The first artist for 2023 is Alexander Mourant from Great Britain, who graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2020.

In the project room, the audience gains insight into the artist's themes, research and work process through a small exhibition with inspiration images, sketchbooks, test prints, theory and technical samples.

After the artist meeting, it is possible to take part in an artist talk (open to everyone, takes place in English), where the artists talk about their artistship and present documentation from previous projects and exhibitions (at 19.00 - 20.30).
