Eclipse
Tom Lovelace
01.09 - 08.10 2022

We look forward to present, in collaboration with Bodø Biennale, Elicpse – a new installation at NŌUA, by the London-based artist Tom Lovelace. Through an exhibition and performance, Eclipse is the latest in the series of Lovelace's Living Pictures series, which connects photography and performance, creating immersive and interactive exhibition spaces.
Eclipse will present an imaginary scene set among the stars above us. Theater has been key to the development of Lovelace's recent work, and the exhibition will feature photographic work and video. Together with Typhaine Delaup (UK) and Karsten Lunde (NO), Lovelace will hold performances in the exhibition during the biennale weekend.
TOM LOVELACE is a London-based artist, who works between photography, performance and sculpture. Lovelace's practice presents fluid environments and encounters with exhibitions, placing the body at the center of abstract language and heritage. Recent exhibitions include Known and Strange, Victoria and Albert Museum (London 2021-2022), A Japanese Dream, Van Gogh House London (2022), Bathers, The National Gallery (London 2022) and Sid Motion Gallery (London 2021), The Dancer & the Shadow, Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Paris 2020), On Photographic Beings, The National Museum of Art, (Riga, Latvia 2020).
