Bianca Salvo - The Universe Makers
Exhibition
5.06.2018

We are presenting the work The Universe Makers by the Italian artist Bianca Salvo at Atelier NOUA this summer. The exhibited work is a result of a long term research around photography of and from space, where the artist explores the role photography, technology and science fiction have played in the production of evidence that addresses our collective understanding and false perceptions of interstellar exploration.
By working with genuine documents and images from the NASA archive, accompanied by written documentation, books and collected items, Salvo intervenes and changes the accepted documented information for the purpose of questioning their informative function and challenging their authenticity.
The Exhibition is funded by ChromaLuxe X Lucie Foundation, The Norwegian Arts Council and Nordland County Council.
