PÅFYLL #19

Nerjorden: New ways of living for living communities

We continue our monthly architecture and design conversation collaboration with NODA in Tromsø to welcome Navid Navid, architect MNAL at DRMA Arkitekter in Lofoten, who will present

Can architecture solve societal challenges and at the same time improve the quality of life? Flakstad Municipality and DRMA Arkitekter are exploring new forms of living and community architecture through a concept for age-friendly housing. The goal is to create creative and sustainable living environments that strengthen the local community.

As “Locals Everywhere”, DRMA has worked with urban and urban development across the country for over 20 years, with an emphasis on restructuring, visitor management and place identity. Based in Lofoten for the past decade, Navid presents the Nerjorden project – one of the office’s most relevant assignments, where architecture is actively used to meet the housing challenges in the fishing village of Ramberg.
