Clare Strand

NOUA welcomes you to an artist talk with the British artist Clare Strands, Thursday 04 May at 19.00.

Welcome drinks will be served. Opportunities to buy drinks with and without alcohol during the entire event.

Clare Strand will also present her work through books, artefacts, clothing and objects from her past works in the NOUA Project Room (2nd floor), which will be open from the 4th May to 21st May.

The NOUA Project Room presents Norwegian and international artists who work with photography, photo books and lens-based art. The public gains insight into the artist's themes, research and work process in novel and experiential ways.


Clare Strand has exhibited at places such as The Museum Folkwang; Center Pompidou; Tate Great Britain; The Salzburg Museum of Modern Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Her work is held in the collections of, among others, MOMA; SFMoma; V&A; Center Pompidou; British Council; NY Public Library; The Mead Museum and Cornell University. Strand was one of the four nominees for the Deutsche Borse award (2020).
