Artist talk

Tidsreisende

10.01.2026

NŌUA and Tidsreisende are pleased to welcome to an artist talk with Mari Norddahl and Martin Woll Godal from the artist group Tidsreisende. Moderator: Kristoffer Dolmen.

MARI NORDDAHL (b. 1990) works with soft, tactile objects through sculpture, installation and performance. Textile is her main material, and the object as a phenomenon is central to her project. She is concerned with how we interpret and attach value to the things around us, and in her works there is a tension between the autonomy of sculptures and the power of humans over the material world. Norddahl lives in Bergen, where she also completed her Master of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Art, Music and Design in 2017.

MARTIN WOLL GODAL (b. 1982) examines in his works various spaces of possibility at the meeting point between sculpture and architecture. Godal uses ceramic modules as a means in his exploration of rhythms and structure - space, object and body. Godal completed his master's degree at the Bergen Academy of Fine Arts in 2007 and has his studio in Arendal. He has been acquired by the National Museum, Uppsala Art Museum, Sørlandets Art Museum and KODE in Bergen. In 2022, Godal was awarded a 10-year working grant from the Norwegian State Artist Grant.

KRISTOFFER DOLMEN is a freelance curator with a special interest in handcrafts, duodje and material-based art. He is currently working on several new projects with art in public space. He has a degree in curatorship from the University of Bergen and the Royal Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm.
