Film screening
04.05.2022

lokk film welcomes you to Queer Culture Year in NŌUA's gallery, and talks about the events that will happen through the weekend. After this there will be a film screening of Heartstone.
Heartstone (2016) is Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson feature film debut. It is partly based on his own experiences, and is a beauiful story about friendshop and love. In a small fishing village in Island a boy develops feelings for his best friend, without telling him. His best friend pursues his affection for a girl, and this causes jealousy and other vulnerable feelings that affects not only the two boys, but the whole village. Heartstone was the first Icelandic film that was screened during the Venice International Film Festival. The Cinematographer is the award-winning Norwegian Sturla Brandth Grøvlen, known from the films One night in Berlin (2015) and Rams (2015), which captures the fragile exploration of sexuality and self reflection in contrast to the dramatic Icelandic nature.
Free admittance to all events.
